While counter-service options can offer the same food over and over again, lounges typically have a slightly different fare that seems to be of higher quality. That isn’t always the case but has mostly matched our experience. No matter where you choose to sip and eat, all orders are taken inside at the bar. There are no tableside servers, though your items will be bussed once you wrap up your visit.
Eats and Drinks
On Grand Avenue at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you will find a corner pub called Baseline Tap House. At this industrial-style dining location, there is a selection of California craft ales, lagers, ciders, wines, and speciality cocktails. Those looking for a non-alcoholic beverage can refresh with a wild strawberry lemonade or sodas on tap. BaseLine Tap House is a little different than the usual WDW lounge in that it isn’t connected to another restaurant and essentially operates like a bar.
Type of Service:
This is a fun assortment of meats and cheeses, delivering some surprising quality on the cheese front. Sarah found the meat to be a bit on the fatty/greasy/processed side, but I thought it was delicious. Far better than something you’d get at Food & Wine, and for less money.

The inside seating has been dramatically reduced in this tap house, as the window bar area has been marked as unavailable, most likely due to its close proximity to the queue. This “cheery corner pub” looks particularly popular today, with many guests sitting outside under the big red parasols. I wasn't too surprised by the bill, if anything, I was actually pretty happy that the pretzel and the charcuterie board only came out to $27 (with the tip).
Disney Issues Surveillance Alert for All Park Visitors
As a local who visits Hollywood Studios at least twice a week, I think BaseLine Tap House will become a routine visit when I'm craving a salty pretzel or savory cheese board. As a fan of goat cheese, I thought the cheese and crostini pairing was delicious. Considering a Mickey Mouse ice-cream bar is almost $7, I was happy to see I could get a hefty charcuterie board for $12.
If you’re taking your drinks outside, you’ll receive your beverages in plastic cups, while drinks staying indoors are served in glass. Even though Baseline was new when we visited, it had a healthy buzz to it without the overcrowded feel we expected. We especially loved the outdoor seating area which boasted the tree canopy we mentions above and stool seating around table tops with red shade umbrellas. The street lights and the stream of lights over the outdoor area make for a beautiful glow at night. Items from what looks like the print shop line a few shelves behind the focal point which is a modern, steal top bar. It was a calm environment inside but there was still plenty of chatter and laughter that made it feel like a friendly bar/pub.

Baseline Tap House isn’t just a great spot for getting something to drink on a warm day; it is also ideal for grabbing a quick snack! There are several small plates on Baseline Tap House’s menu that are sure to fill you up before you head to your next attraction. To get a sampling of 3 cheeses, meats, and fruit, try the California Cheese and Charcuterie Plate! If you want something a bit more simple, but still delicious, they large Bavarian Pretzel is the snack for you. I also tried the Blue Sky Black Cherry Soda and enjoyed this. I generally think that cherry syrup or flavoring tends to taste like the cough syrup that my parents used to keep in their medicine cabinet about ten years past the expiration date.
Nestled on the corner like any good bar would be, Baseline is perfectly situated neighboring Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater, at the very end of Commissary Lane. What used to be blocked off for future construction, now reveals Grand Avenue. To visit Muppet Vision 3D or PizzeRizzo, you now must walk by Baseline Tap House on Grand Avenue which makes Baseline super easy to spot. The meat was tender and bursting with flavor, albeit a bit on the fatty side for ribeye. There was a mild hint of coffee, but with so much going on that was hardly noticeable.

We met up with Brian Koziol, Food & Beverage Concept Development Director, to get an inside look at the brand new BaseLine Tap House at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Specializing in California brews and wines, this cheerful corner pub offers a relaxing, story-filled atmosphere where you can enjoy a cold drink with an appetizing snack. BaseLine Tap house is located on Grand Avenue, just around the corner from Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, and is open at 11 a.m.
The tap choices were on excellent display with large menu signs as well as smaller handheld menus you could browse while waiting for a bartender. Featuring California beer on tap, you can select between a 16 oz. We do highly recommend trying an assortment that is made easy with the Create-Your-Own Beer Flight option of four, 5 oz.
BaseLine Tap House is a bar/lounge in Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios. Located in Grand Avenue, the bar offers a variety of craft beers on tap while also acting for all intents and purposes as a counter-service restaurant. While the menu is limited, the bar offers a few items for lunch and dinner to go along with their large drink menu. In this post, we’ll review the BaseLine Tap House’s atmosphere, cuisine and value. The menu at Baseline Tap House features delicious small plates and craft draft beers.
While I still think the theme and backstory are bland and uninteresting, the atmosphere back here is sublime. In addition to that, the theme and concept art for BaseLine Tap House never did much for me. The bar’s backstory is that it pays homage to the building’s former life as the Figueroa Printing Company, a mom-and-pop print house that had ties to the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank. Unlike the rest of the park, the land/ave is set in present-day Downtown Los Angeles. The lounge is located at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Commissary Lane, to the left of Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant.
That wasn’t the case here, as the syrup wasn’t overpowering. If you’re going for a drink at BaseLine, I’d recommend getting one of the beers or ciders on tap. Most of them come from California breweries and that is what this place is known for, it’s just not really my thing. Chances are we’ve likely all experienced a noisy neighbor at one point in time or another! Well, to our surprise, Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater has an open door within Baseline Tap House that connects the two, so you don’t have to go outside to enter one or the other.
